Amman – In an unprecedented scientific achievement in Jordan, Professor Yasmine Murad, a civil engineer, has been ranked among the top 0.5% of scientists worldwide, according to the American Scholar GPS platform, an advanced international research platform that analyzes academic and research performance across subspecialties.

The Scholar GPS ranking is based on an analysis of reliable data from the Web of Science database, which includes information on more than 20 million researchers worldwide. However, only a limited percentage of these scientists are selected to be included in the top 0.5%, based on a strict set of indicators including the number of research papers, the number of citations, the quality of scientific journals, and research impact within the subspecialty.

Dr. Murad's ranking specifically falls within the field of "Gene Expression," a precise research field that is considered one of the latest applications of artificial intelligence in civil engineering. It is used to analyze and predict the behavior of materials and structures using intelligent and advanced methods.

Dr. Yasmine Murad is the only female scientist in Jordan ranked among the top 0.5% and also among the top 2% globally in the field of civil engineering, making this achievement a scientific first for the country.
