University of Jordan News - NASA appointed Jordanian Professor Omar Hatamleh as the first chief executive of artificial intelligence at the NASA-Goddard Space Flight Center.
It is noteworthy that Professor Al- Hatamleh was deputy chief scientist at NASA and responsible for identifying new and promising areas of scientific research. He also has twenty years of field experience in the field of space, has published more than 33 specialized articles, obtained four degrees in engineering, and speaks four languages.
Al- Hatamleh also holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Jordan, and completed his graduate studies in the United States of America, where he obtained a doctorate in mechanical engineering from the University of South Carolina, a master's degree in materials engineering from North Carolina State University, and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from California State University.
His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein recently honored Hatamleh as part of Jordan's 78th Independence Day celebrations for his expertise in the field of artificial intelligence and for being one of the best 50 global thought leaders in this field.
