Steady State and Dynamic Modelling of Two-Phase flow in Chemical Process Equipment using SQMOM, DMaxEntM and PPBLab Software

Goal: 1) Modelling of two-phase flow in bubble and extraction columns using SQMOM, DMaxEntM and PPBLab software.

2) Extension of SQMOM and DMAxEntm to spatially distributed population balance equations in a one-dimensional spatial domain.

3) Validation of a 1D SQMOM liquid-liquid extraction models using PPBLab software.

4) Extending PPBLab to accommodate new industrial liquid-liquid extraction modules with emphasis on CAPE-OPEN tools.

5) Implementation of SQMOM (starting with OPOSPM) in commercial CFD software including COMSOL and ANSYS Fluent.
