The British publishing house “Emerald” awards its annual award, “The 2024 Early Career Award,” to Dr. Yasmine Murad from the University of Jordan.

University of Jordan News Soha Al-Subaihi - The British publishing house “Emerald" awarded its annual award, “The 2024 Early Career Award," to Dr. Yasmine Zuhair Murad from the School of Engineering at the University of Jordan. The award is given annually for achievement in the field of structural integrity in civil engineering, for excellence in early-career research.

 

Murad's selection of the award, which she will present during an official ceremony, comes from among a large number of nominees, in recognition of her research contributions in the field of structural safety, as she has published nearly 50 research papers in the Scopus database, and she is one of the most cited researchers, as she is ranked 34th among university researchers. Jordanian according to the classification of the same base.

 

Murad dedicated her winning of the award to the University of Jordan, its professors in the department, and its students, expressing her pride in achieving this achievement, describing herself as the daughter of the University of Jordan, the School of Engineering, and the Department of Civil Engineering.

 

It is noteworthy that Murad is an associate professor in the Department of Civil Engineering and holds a doctorate from Imperial College London. She holds the Distinguished Researcher Award for the year 2024 in the field of structural engineering from the Venus International Foundation, and is ranked among the top 2% of researchers in the world on the Stanford University list.​
