Advances in separation processes for sustainable solutions in energy and environment

​The Jordan International Chemical Engineering Hybrid Conference, JIChEC10, is the 10th edition of this conference, held every three years in Amman, Jordan, since 1993. The Jordan Engineers Association and some industrial companies in Jordan fund the conference. The event for this issue was held from 21 to 23 October 2024 at the Royal Hotel, Amman, Jordan. It was our great pleasure and privilege to welcome more than 500 participants during the conference days, during which 70% of the presentations were face-to-face and 30% were online. Actually, we succeeded in making hybrid presentations in the same session. In addition, our conference hosted leading scientists from academia and industry from 20 countries, who discussed the latest developments in chemical engineering and promises.

A total of 92 manuscripts were submitted to JIChEC10, and we accepted about 80 papers, including 5 keynote speeches. These papers were included in this proceeding according to the themes outlined in the first invitation. Some of these papers have been submitted to the sponsoring journals, such as Environmental Science and Pollution Research, and a special issue is now being published in this journal. In addition, there was a poster session for students’ graduate projects and an exhibition of many industrial products in the conference area.
