The University of Jordan (UJ) honored Chemical Engineering students at its School of Engineering after PhilaGrow recognized top-performing teams for completing industry-mentored graduation projects during the summer semester.
PhilaGrow supported the students throughout the experimental phase and contributed to evaluating project outcomes, helping refine the final deliverables to better align with workplace expectations.
Awards were presented to the top three teams. First place went to Sundus Al Sarayrah, Sarah Biyari, Dima Injadat, Lana Abu Al Sundus, and Maram Tashtoush. Second place was awarded to Abdulrahman Al Sawalhi, Zeina Al Shajrawi, Omar Muawad, Maya Al Attir, and Hidayah Al Thawabieh. Third place was claimed by Abdullah Al Aaloul Al Tamimi, Ramz Al Sheikh Yaseen, Walaa Al Qudah, Issa Habash, and Joni Al Safadi. The winning teams received commemorative gifts bearing the phrase “Success begins with an idea,” along with cash awards.
Attending the ceremony were Dean of the School of Engineering Prof. Menwer Attarakih; Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering Dr. Mohammad Qtaishat; Deputy Dean for Quality, Accreditation and International Rankings Dr. Linda Al-Hmoud, who also supervised the graduation projects as part of the department’s capstone requirements; and PhilaGrow Representative Eng. Haifa Hoor.
The graduation projects reflect UJ’s ongoing efforts to connect academic training with real-world practice through structured collaboration with industry partners.
