Obeidat: Excellence is a must so that we can compete with others.

Obeidat: The award team paid attention to all its criteria during the university evaluation stages, and all of this was supported by documents.

Obeidat: The university's relationship with industry, external partnerships, and employers also played a role in the university winning the award.

Sanaa Al-Samadi - President of the University of Jordan, Dr. Nathir Obeidat, confirmed during his meeting on Jordanian TV - Good Morning Program that excellence has become required on a global level so that we can compete with others.

He added that the university is a national Jordanian institution, and is one of the first institutions established 60 years ago, and it has a great social responsibility represented in serving the community, students, education, and scientific research, and it needs everyone's efforts to lead it towards excellence.

Obeidat pointed out in his talk about the university receiving the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence / the Distinguished Official University Award that the university's message focuses on modernizing Jordanian society; excellence is an indispensable necessity, whether by the university, faculty members, or students.

He explained that the university's students, graduates, faculty members, administration, and distinguished administrators have a major role in winning the award; as the belonging of the student and university cadres is the secret of success; they are the ones who won the award with their effort, dedication, and insistence on success and excellence.

Obeidat pointed to the factors that led to success and excellence, including the infrastructure; Today, the university has updated its halls, lecture halls, and laboratories, where it has completed 60% of the halls structurally, and has converted some halls into smart halls, which helps the student and professor to present everything they have while giving the lecture and lesson.

He explained that the infrastructure and updating the Internet have become important, as the university has worked in partnership with the private sector; to give a different boost to the educational process; the student today must possess all the skills.

The universities have also automated 80% of their administrative and financial operations, which is not an easy process.

He touched on the importance of scientific research, and how to encourage students and researchers to conduct scientific research, and network with the private sector; it is an important factor in winning the award; because its relationship with industry, partnerships, and employers is an important part of its criteria; as the award relied on important objective criteria based on documents, so every piece of information must be supported by documents
