A delegation from "The University Of Jordan" visits the Royal Jordanian Air Academy

University of Jordan News F- A delegation from the School of Engineering at the University of Jordan recently visited the Royal Jordanian Air Academy, headed by the Dean of the School, Dr. Menwer Attarakih, and accompanied by Dr. Saleh Al-Okour from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Vice Dean for Quality, Accreditation and Classifications, Dr. Adham Al-Sharqawi.

 

The delegation met with the Director General of the Academy, Dr. Pilot Mohammad Fayyad Al-Khawaldeh, and his deputy, Captain Awda Al-Khalayleh, where both sides stressed during the meeting the importance of technical learning and the need to reduce the gap between academic outputs and the needs of the labor market.

 

This visit came with the imminent launch of the "Career Readiness and Field Training" program for students of the School of Engineering, and the attraction of experts from institutions concerned with technical learning that is compatible with labor market skills.

 

During the meeting, the Academy presented a presentation on the training programs it offers, and an explanation of the local and international accreditation standards it applies, with an overview of partner institutions at the regional and global levels.

 

The visit included an inspection tour of the academy's facilities, where the delegation was briefed on the training workshops and specialized laboratories that provide a real environment for trainees, classrooms designed according to international aviation accreditation standards, flight simulators, and other modern equipment that contribute to training students according to the highest international standards.

 

The visit aimed to enhance academic and training cooperation between the two parties in terms of aviation engineering and student training in general, and to explore the possibility of developing joint educational programs aimed at providing the local, regional and international markets with highly qualified graduates, armed with technical and scientific skills that keep pace with developments in the fields of aviation and engineering.
