Regional and international achievements for Jordanian engineering students hosted at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center

 

 

University of Jordan News - Jordanian engineering students have achieved regional and global achievements with projects incubated at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center; where the leader of the PNIN Tech team, student Hala Yousef, from the Industrial Engineering major, won third place in the IEEE PITCH R8 Competition for the year 2024, organized by IEEE Entrepreneurship R8. PNIN TECH represented the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in competition with innovative startups from all over Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

 

As for student Rahaf Zorba, her project (NLSA), incubated at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, qualified for the Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC), which is the largest tournament of its kind in the world and one of the most comprehensive presentation competitions for startups, with the participation of more than 370,000 entrepreneurs from more than 200 countries and regions.

 

The competition was launched by the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (MiSK) in 2019 in partnership with the Global Entrepreneurship Network, with the finals held annually in Riyadh.

 

In turn, the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship periodically hosts entrepreneurial projects for students of the University of Jordan through the “Start from Jordan" competition, which is held twice a year. The center also supports student entrepreneurs to compete in global competitions to represent the university.​
