The University Of Jordan honors its most distinguished and cited researchers who are ranked among the top 2% globally

​University of Jordan News - Suha Al-Subaihi - Today, during a session of the University Deans Council, the President of the University of Jordan honored the distinguished researchers at the university for the academic year 2022-2023, and the most cited researchers according to the (HCR-Clarivate) index, in addition to the researchers classified as The best 2% of the world’s researchers, according to Stanford University’s classification.

After the honoring, the President of the University, Dr. Nathir Obeidat, praised the importance of the creativity of the university’s researchers for the university and the nation and their excellence in their scientific fields, as they thus raise the university’s name high in the academic and scientific circles and advance science with their intellectual achievements locally and internationally. They also contribute to the progress of building the nation culturally in various fields. He congratulated them and wishing them more excellence in the quality of research and its global impact.

The Dean of Scientific Research at the University, Dr. Amera Almasri, said in her speech during the honoring, which witnessed the presence of the vice presidents and deans of the colleges, that this honor comes in appreciation of this elite group of brilliant and giving researchers from the university’s employees, and as an incentive for them to continue research and intellectual depth, and in gratitude for their role in serving science and society and their impact on the educational process.

Obaidat initially honored the Professor of Computer Engineering at the College of Engineering, Dr. Khaled Daradkeh, and the Associate Professor of Pathology and Microbiology at the College of Medicine, Dr. Malek Salam, for receiving the Distinguished Researcher Award for the year 2022-2023, and handed them the University Shield, while the Professor of Chemistry at the College of Science, Dr. Muhammad Mubarak received the university’s shield for being classified among the most cited researchers according to the (HCR-Clarivate) index.

Obaidat also honored the researchers who are ranked among the best 2% of researchers in the world according to the classification of Stanford University in the United States, and those affiliated with the university according to the classification, and they are as follows:
