#Jordanian_News -Zakaria Al-Ghoul - Members of the Arab Council for Health Specializations elected the President of the University of Jordan, Dr. Nathir Obeidat, as Chairman of the Joint Scientific Advisory Council, during the 2024 regular meeting held in Amman.
The Secretary-General of the Council, Dr. Omar bin Awad Al-Rawas, and the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Jordan, Fahd bin Abdul Rahman Al-Ajili, congratulated the University President on his well-deserved victory in the Council elections, expressing their sincere wishes for him for continued success.
Obeidat expressed his pride in assuming the presidency of the Council, stressing that he will strive to work at all levels that will improve health services in Arab countries and qualify specialists with high professional and scientific competence in the health fields in accordance with international standards.
Obeidat said that the Council will set its sights on anticipating the future of health professions and patterns of practice in health specialties, keeping pace with developments in digital communication and its uses in education, health service provision and training. It will also harness all its capabilities to raise the scientific and practical level of health service providers in various health professions and specializations through programs. Continuing professional development.
It is noteworthy that the Arab Council for Health Specializations is an Arab professional scientific body that was established by the Council of Arab Ministers of Health under the umbrella of the League of Arab States. It has an independent legal personality and is non-profit.
