A student from the University Of Jordan wins the International Moon Station Award On the Lunar Energizers team


University of Jordan News - The Lunar Energizers team, which included a female student from the University of Jordan, won second place in the Moon Station 2050 competition, which was organized by the Moon Village Association, the Harbin Institution of Technology, and the Chinese Society of Astronautics.

The victory came for the team consisting of a student at the University of Jordan in the School of Engineering - majoring in mechatronics engineering, Mona Ghassan Salim, student Sumaya Me'ilish from Balqa University - majoring in energy engineering, and student Muhammad Al-Shrouf, a graduate of Balqa University in majoring in energy engineering, and under the supervision of Dr. Hanna Al-Sabat, after passing two evaluation stages. They were conducted by competition supervisors and scholars specialized in the field.

It is noteworthy that the project consists of designing an integrated energy system on the moon's surface using previously unseen ideas to provide the moon with the energy necessary to build a human colony that takes into account all lunar conditions.

The project won second place globally in the energy field of the competition, in addition to a financial prize.

​The team will give a presentation in China at the Harbin Institute of Technology to talk about their project.
