Overview

The “School of Engineering” at the University of Jordan with its new name (past Faculty of Engineering & Technology) is committed to excellence and development of innovations in engineering, applied sciences and technology. Since its foundation in 1974, the School of Engineering has followed its clear goals to bring together the fundamentals of applied sciences, the power of engineering imagination, and the high quality of teaching. Our school provides real educational opportunities by discovering new knowledge, participating in many research disciplines, and graduate smart engineers for a challenging future. The School of Engineering is the largest faculty at the University of Jordan with a number of students close to 6,000 attracted from the top high school students in Jordan guided by Specialists faculty members. These students are distributed over eight academic departments which include: Architecture Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering.

To maintain our high level of teaching quality, the School of Engineering adapted the ABET accreditation policy for three B.Sc. engineering programs (Chemical, Electrical & Mechanical engineering) and the rest is underway. This is because we have already achieved remarkable success in education and research and we intend to maintain and build on it.
