University of Jordan News (AJA) Sanaa Al-Smadi - The School of Engineering at the University of Jordan, in cooperation with the Jordanian Scientific Society Company, held an introductory symposium on linking academia with industry.
According to the Dean of the School, Dr. Munawar Al-Tarakiya, the symposium aims to consolidate scientific principles to link academia with industry, and to activate the role of private companies, to provide the college with expertise and skills and raise its level of knowledge.
He added that the university, as part of its strategic plan, seeks to enrich study plans with workshops, by hosting experts to give lectures that link practical application to academic subjects.
The symposium, which was presented by the Executive Director of the Scientific Community Company, Engineer Muhammad Mustafa, discussed the company’s origins and its goal of developing the industry within Jordan, whether complementary or aggregate.
During the symposium, Mustafa reviewed the projects implemented with international companies, including automobile companies specialized in manufacturing parts and supplying them to companies outside Jordan.
It is noteworthy that the "Jordanian Scientific Society" is a national industrial project to develop industry in Jordan.
